Back to School with Complete Eye Care

Complete Eye Care Kit

Complete Eye Care is pleased to announce that we have provided complimentary Eye Care Kits to local schools in the Lawton-Ft. Sill area. The kits contain valuable eye care tools including eye glass repair kits, contact lens care supplies, and eye drops. This is just one more way we are helping people to enjoy life through healthy eyes with clear, comfortable vision!

Did you know?

Nearly 25 percent of school-age children have vision problems, but 86 percent of children entering first grade do not receive an eye exam. About 60 percent of students identified as problem learners have undetected vision problems.

Keep an eye out for the warning signs of vision problems. Watch to see if your child has noticeably red eyes or lids, rubs his or her eyes frequently, has headaches, turns or tilts their head to use one eye only, or avoids detailed activities like coloring, puzzles or eye-hand coordinated tasks. Simple changes in behavior could indicate that your child needs further evaluation by an eye doctor.

Vision problems that are not diagnosed and treated can limit the range of experiences and kinds of information to which children are exposed. Eye and vision specialists are best able to diagnose and treat vision problems, many of which are preventable or treatable if caught early on.

Eye exams for children entering school are critical for the early intervention needed to treat diseases and disorders that can lead to poor school performance and can ultimately affect a child’s quality of life.

A comprehensive eye examination from your local optometrist is a good way to make sure that your child is adequately prepared to start the school year right — with clear and comfortable vision.
